Baskets

Baskets are actually multi functional tableware, which are used for different purposes. Depending on the use, baskets can have open top or sometimes covered with a lid. They are ideally used in dining table, side table, center tables, etc. In modern usage, baskets are chosen chiefly for decorative purposes. Gift baskets are used to present items such as fruit, wine and flowers. Again, baskets placed in the center table are used for decorative purposes.

Traditionally baskets were designed to serve a utilitarian rather than an aesthetic purpose. But now, the practice of making basket has evolved into an art. Modern day baskets come with a wide array of sizes, colors, materials, patterns and details.

Baskets usually have a weave-like pattern imprinted on them and bamboo, twigs, osiers or wicker, and plastic are often used to make them. Again there are some baskets that are crafted out of crystal glass and are used both for decorative and utility purposes.
